Vandana has over two decades of experience in communications and public relations. Starting out as a zoology enthusiast to study human evolution, she continued her journey of understanding human behaviour with communications. As the Chief Client Officer, her responsibilities include providing leadership and guidance to the teams to ensure high quality of service delivery and customer satisfaction.

In her current role as the Chief Client Strategy Officer at Burson Group India, she is sought out for her expertise in solving business challenges through integrated, creative and impact-driven communications programmes. As a seasoned public relations practitioner, she has helped brands and companies tell their story in a consistent and relevant manner to shift perceptions. Till recently, she was the India Lead for Six Degrees BCW (WPP acquisition), which got absorbed into Burson Group India. She has start-up experience, having spearheaded PPR (former global Burson brand) as the India Lead for four years from its launch to becoming a notable brand, which was eventually merged with the parent agency. She has led a market as the head of the western region at Genesis BCW in her earlier stint, delivering growth.

Vandana has held business and domain-led roles throughout her career where she has been responsible for growing the business, leading award-winning campaigns and mentoring key talent. Her areas of expertise include corporate and brand reputation, thought leadership, creative storytelling, issues and crisis management, start-up communications, business transformation and change management, leadership training and messaging.

She enjoys mentoring young talent in their journey into the world of communications through programmes like WPP Stella Mentor programme. She regularly contributes on the importance of public relations in leading platforms. She has been on the jury of prestigious awards like PR Moment 30 Under 30and Agency Reporter's 40 Under 40 Awards. She has received industry recognition including e4m’s Top 20 Communications Professionals to watch out for in 2023 and Reputation Today’s 100 Most Important professionals in India in PR & Corporate Communications.

She holds a Masters degree in Public Relations & Public Communications on scholarship from the University of Westminster, UK. An avid traveler, she looks forward to exploring new destinations - its diverse experiences, people and culture.
