"I'm Fine Dining with IKEA" Launch

IKEA Thailand brought fine dining into everyday life, showing that premium culinary experiences can be accessible to everyone.

Situation:
IKEA Thailand sought to reinforce its commitment to offering high-quality, accessible food experiences and inspire people to enjoy premium dining in their everyday lives. The challenge was to elevate the perception of IKEA's food offerings beyond standard food court fare, successfully launching two exclusive new dishes while generating significant media and social buzz across lifestyle, food, and general news channels.

Solutions:
We launched the "I’m Fine Dining with IKEA" campaign, anchored by the exclusive "Elevated Flavours" event on March 24, 2026, at IKEA Sukhumvit. The strategy centered on a high-profile collaboration with renowned Thai Chef Ian (Pongtawat Chalermkittichai). We hosted 27 journalists and 23 key influencers for an immersive culinary experience. The event featured strategic messaging from IKEA's Food Manager regarding food accessibility, followed by a live cooking demonstration where Chef Ian prepared the new exclusive menus; Black Cod with White Wine Sauce and Meatballs with Truffle Sauce, allowing media to taste and engage directly with the culinary inspiration behind the campaign.

Success:
The event successfully shifted perceptions, securing 72 pieces of coverage across print, online, and social media with exceptionally strong message pull-through. Rather than just reporting on a new menu, top-tier outlets including Thairath, Prachachat Turakij, Gourmet & Cuisine, and Bangkok Post, overwhelmingly amplified IKEA’s core narrative: the commitment to making "accessible fine dining" and premium culinary experiences available to everyone. Media and influencers alike championed the unexpected collaboration with Chef Ian, consistently highlighting how the brand successfully elevated everyday dining without losing its signature accessibility.
